Exclusive final photos taken before Amazon’s “Fallout” set went under wraps on Staten Island

STATEN ISLAND, NY – Hope you got a good look at the Staten Island set where the Amazon series “Fallout” is being filmed.

Because you won’t be able to get a peek any longer.

Based on the popular series of video games, the “Fallout” film site is at the former ShopRite supermarket in New Dorp. Workers in recent weeks have been busy transforming the spot into the Super Duper Mart from the apocalyptic game series.

Fans and other spectators have been able to stand at a chain link fence and freely view and take photos of the developing set, including the damaged, boarded-up market and vintage cars that look like they’ve been blasted by atomic bombs.

The online sneak peeks have whet the appetites of gamers curious about every potential detail of the coming series, which stars Kyle MacLachlan of “Blue Velvet” and “Twin Peaks” fame.

Well, the sneak peeks are over, “Fallout” fans.

The site in recent days has gone under wraps, with the set surrounded by a dark tarp in order to keep prying eyes out and to keep production secrets a secret until the show airs. Large tractor-trailers also ring the lot, further blocking views.

On Thursday, you could just make out the tantalizing sight of bright movie-set lights through the tarp.

But the Advance happened to be at the site the just before the clampdown and got one last batch of exclusive photos, with some new details visible on the Super Duper Mart set.

So have a look at what could be the final sneak peek at the “Fallout” set here on Staten Island. Included are other up-close photos taken at the site from earlier in the production.
